2. Antiviral Effect: It has inhibitory effects on influenza virus and herpes virus, and therefore can be used clinically to treat herpetic keratitis.
3. Anti-inflammatory Effect: Fraxin A and Fraxin B both have significant anti-inflammatory effects, and significantly inhibit inflammation and edema.
4. Anti-allergic Effect: Fraxin B has a significant protective effect against vasoconstriction caused by leukotrienes released in allergic reactions.
5. Antispasmodic Effect: Fraxin B has an inhibitory effect on intestinal smooth muscle and can relax histamine-induced tracheal smooth muscle spasms.
6. Antitussive Effect: Fraxin A and Fraxin B both have significant antitussive, expectorant, and bronchodilator effects.
7. Sedative Effect: Fraxin A and Fraxin B both have significant sedative effects, and significant analgesic and anticonvulsant effects. 8. Diuretic effect: Fraxinoside has a diuretic effect, promoting uric acid excretion in rats and rabbits, and has a significant diuretic effect on mice.
